Drawing Blindfolded

Encased porcelain lights

This body of work is a continuation on the paths that were laid out in 2014 in two collaborative exhibitions: explorations in geometrical nuances with a sculptor; and explorations of compositions of still life, in both 2D and 3D, with a painter.
They are made from porcelain slabs on which are layered, etched and imprinted drawings that allow the light to create depth and form.
The drawings only reveal themselves after they are fired and finished, hence Drawing Blindfolded.
They are made of porcelain and hardwood, and may be placed on the wall or on a flat surface.
